Asa-Chang & Junray invade my space

The feeling of guilt of having so many moleskines on my desk finally got the better of me. The random selection gave me Ooli's fabulous moleskine.
I hope you like it. I may add more little bits near the end as this one is going back to Ooli after me... unless, does someone else want to give it a little more love?

Clunky Little Video

I received my L'Horizon moleskine back from Marty yesterday (as well as Ooli's) and am a little sad at the big blank space in the middle... but not all is lost. Michael Nightmare tells me he will give it a boost. I am going to forward it to him.
My moleskine endeavours might be put on hold for a week or so with my fabulous moving house. I am really not concentrating at the moment whilst sitting amongst my half packed up belongings. But will be back soon, looking forward to my bigger and lighter space in my new flat.

Ooli's Book

Looks like the trio just won a Kitty Kat award.

Emma's Book

Not dead yet, or once dead and back to life again. I hope this begins to thank Emma for sending two beautiful books for the MCBA exhibition. Wish I understood French. The song, L'Horizon, is sung in French. I like the texture of the song. This book is brilliant. Ooli's book is well under way. Should be done in a couple of days.

Ooh!! There is quite a bit of book left to fill. I can add a little something more, but there is room for more still. Emma, should I send this book to you? Or.......

Missing Wil.

Oops! I didn't think about the paint used to do this "MUSICHALL" type originally. I did a wash of water and made a big smear of the type. Sorry. What this image really needs are those little gold dots. I hope that whoever draws next to this image will draw into it with some of the nice detail that is already in this book. There is quite a lot of book to be drawn in, yet. I hope you like, E.

Sinking to the Blue…

Sorry for the delay – I was sinking in work and family matters. I had an idea for Lynne's book for a while, but today I set myself up for a totally blue day – and here is the result.

Lynne, thank you for spreading up so much inspiration inside and around the book! And thanks to all of the talented artists: Marty, Emma and Ooli, whose entries inspired me too! Every time I return to this wonderful project I enjoy it so much!

Lynne, it's coming back to you soon!

Chalkboard Animation

I just thought you all might like this.

Not a very organized chaos

That's what came out on Marty's dark background. I couldn't not to think about the Looney Tunes' characters, in some sort of way. The darkness gave it a dramatic look. Not a very organized chaos, I would say. And a bit crazy, same as the music. Anyway, I enjoyed drawing it very much!

I'm overbooked!

Hello friends!
I feel guilty for holding your books too long. Today I got two more beautiful books, so now in my possesion are... 4 books!
I put them all together on my biggest table and it was hardly a space for all of them! It's so impressive to see them all together! You guys did an awesome job and I think we should show the books to the world not in only virtual way some day. What do you think?
I promise to start to work!
Lynne, Emma's book is going to you!

Fever Ray

I suppose I’m bad ‘collaborator’…I apologize for the delay again… To mitigate my fault I did two books last night. I decided to make Wil’s book out of order. Marina, I’ll finish yours one as soon as possible. As to this book, I think it’s my favourite one…Maybe the reason is that both music and associations are very close to me

Thanks Marina.

I have scanned this book and I'm sending it back to you Marina. Thanks for sending it. It is beautiful book, thank you Ooli & Emma. I will send it after I show it to my printmaking class on Thursday.

I ordered a few large large Japanese molys. I want to squeegee ink into a few of those as well. Very excited about that.

Fever Ray became my earworm

I had the first three tracks on this Fever Ray album playing in my head for 2 days once I really started to draw in the moleskine. I was walking around in the restaurant humming snippets to myself. It was more the words, though, that I think influenced my drawing. I find, it is more messy and eclectic the way I am creating in this exchange, and I worry it is just too crazy... but that's what that music did to me.

Reaching the Horizon

I absolutely loved L’Horizon! First of all it's in French, which I don't understand, but love its sound very much (I want to learn it, when I'll have the time). And secondly, the subject (I read the translation of the songs) is so reach full of associations. And, of course, the wonderful music! (Few days ago I heard L’Horizon playing at some local radio station and I almost yelled: "hey! It's Emma's song!") Thank you for introducing it!
Emma, sorry for holding the book too much time, here it comes...
