Sinking to the Blue…

Sorry for the delay – I was sinking in work and family matters. I had an idea for Lynne's book for a while, but today I set myself up for a totally blue day – and here is the result.

Lynne, thank you for spreading up so much inspiration inside and around the book! And thanks to all of the talented artists: Marty, Emma and Ooli, whose entries inspired me too! Every time I return to this wonderful project I enjoy it so much!

Lynne, it's coming back to you soon!

Not a very organized chaos

That's what came out on Marty's dark background. I couldn't not to think about the Looney Tunes' characters, in some sort of way. The darkness gave it a dramatic look. Not a very organized chaos, I would say. And a bit crazy, same as the music. Anyway, I enjoyed drawing it very much!

I'm overbooked!

Hello friends!
I feel guilty for holding your books too long. Today I got two more beautiful books, so now in my possesion are... 4 books!
I put them all together on my biggest table and it was hardly a space for all of them! It's so impressive to see them all together! You guys did an awesome job and I think we should show the books to the world not in only virtual way some day. What do you think?
I promise to start to work!
Lynne, Emma's book is going to you!

“Hana” – my entry in Ooli’s moly.

It took me a while… I was a little bit busy, but was keeping in the meantime the Ooli’s song in my head. Once you’ve heard it, you’ll never forget it. The music is like a daydream, full of emotions, it woke up too many associations in my head. I searched the web for the lyrics translation, but didn’t find anything. Only that “Hana” in Japanese means flower. I added a haiku by Kijo Murakami, which seemed suitable here. I think this is a love song, which is also a kind of story that makes you drift away, sometimes too far away that you can’t find your way back.
It was a challenge to follow the amazing Ooli’s drawing. Hope you like it.

Spreading traces

I’ve finished putting more “remembering” traces through my book. Maybe I’ve exaggerated a little bit. Please be free to go over them, and to take them to any direction you want.
I’m going to listen to Ooli’s music now and to be ready for her book ;-)

My Remembering

Maybe this album took me to the too personal direction. My frontispiece shows the album name “At Home” ,that brought me to the place that I born, to my first home (at Brest, Byelorussia). I hope it’s not too nostalgic. As for my Remembering… There are too many associations. I started from the simplest one - the piano sounds, my mom teaching me to play piano, and so on… I already have stuff for the tracks to spread over the book. I’ll show them later.
You can choose another song from this album. I’m going to attach a CD for each of you.
Happy creation! Enjoy the music!
